How much money do I save converting my car to CNG or LPG in Nigeria?

Vehicle owners save between 50% and 70% on monthly fuel expenses by converting from petrol to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) or Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). For a daily commuter or ride-hailing driver, savings typically exceed ₦150,000 to ₦300,000 per month.

Is CNG conversion safe for everyday driving in hot weather?

Yes, CNG is exceptionally safe. The high-pressure cylinders are forged from bullet-resistant steel or carbon-fiber composites and subjected to rigorous hydrostatic crush tests. They feature automatic thermal pressure relief devices (PRD) and excess-flow safety shut-off valves.

Will converting my car to gas damage or wear out the engine?

No. Natural gas has a high octane rating (120-130) and burns far cleaner than petrol, leaving zero carbon residue on valves and spark plugs. This extends engine oil life, keeps spark plugs clean, and prolongs the overall engine lifespan.

Can I switch back to petrol while driving?

Yes. All conversions utilize bi-fuel sequential injection systems. A dashboard micro-switch allows you to switch between petrol and gas seamlessly in real time without stopping or turning off the engine.

Can I convert my petrol generator to run on cooking gas or CNG?

Yes. Testflex Autogas installs dual-fuel conversion kits for residential and commercial generators from 2.5kVA to industrial capacities, allowing them to run on standard LPG cooking gas cylinders or piped CNG.

How long does a vehicle gas conversion take?

A standard vehicle conversion is completed within 24 hours. Vehicles dropped off in the morning are calibrated, safety-tested, and ready for pickup the next day.
